I recently had the opportunity to interview Jessie Norbury’
We talk about her podcast (FindYourFire), YouTube career, food, modelling, life goals and much more!
I’m really excited to share this with you guys, and if you like what you see, give Jessie a follow, she works hard and deserves it!
let's get right into it!
Before we get started, tell me a bit about yourself!
Hey, my name is Jessie! I am a Sydney based YouTuber, model and hardcore health and fitness enthusiast haha!
I currently work for myself full time doing what I LOVE, this was such a big goal of mine and it's so cool that I can do it every day.
I grew up in Cairns, Queensland before moving to Canberra for 7 years. At the start of this year, my boyfriend Jordi and I took a leap of faith and packed our things and moved to Sydney! We love it here and the opportunities it has brought both of us are insane haha :)
What inspired you to create your podcast, find your fire?
I am honestly SUCH a talker... I could talk to a brick wall!
I wanted an outlet that encouraged lengthy conversations on topics that I was really passionate about and it's safe to say that the Podcast has definitely allowed that.
I also love chatting to likeminded guests and inspiring others through the conversation.

I noticed you're a model, how did you begin your modelling career?
I have been modelling for over 6 years and it is my biggest passion! I honestly can't wait to be back to my normal work once isolation is over.
I started just by collaborating with local photographers and makeup artists around Canberra and it all built itself up after that as I gained more contacts within the industry.
I was never going into it thinking that it could turn into a job so I am unbelievably grateful that now I can!

Let's talk about food. How come you decided to study nutrition?
Ahhhh yes, one of my favourite topics haha! I started studying Nutrition 2 months ago, so I'm very fresh, to say the least. I spent that last 2 years of my life studying Marketing and Communications but I felt as though I was just doing it for the sake of 'going to uni'.
I didn't feel much passion towards the end...so when we moved, I deferred in case I want to come back to it in the future. As my health and fitness journey started I became more and more interested in the science behind food, this is honestly what sparked my decision to study Nutrition. No regrets whatsoever, I am LOVING it and it is so much more my style.

You're very active on YouTube, what motivates you to keep up with the content creation?
Haha, thank you, at the moment I am uploading every 3 days which is easier said than done!
My brain is constantly thinking of new ideas of YouTube videos even if the topic is something as simple as 'Bloating'.
I feel like there's so much to elaborate on so this is where I get the inspiration! I am also constantly surrounded by likeminded and inspiring people who always motivate me to create the best content I possibly can.

What's your biggest life goal?
To have an impact on someone's life. Whether it be to help them heal a bad relationship with food, find an exercise routine that they'll love or help them start a career in the modelling industry!
What do you accredit your success to?
My support system definitely! I absolutely love my parents, they have ALWAYS told me from a young age that I need to be my own boss haha!
Jordi is also my cheerleader 110% of the time and I am forever grateful for his words of encouragement.
My friends, I don't know where I'd be without them!
Also my amazing subscribers and the community of women backing and supporting my journey, it honestly makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

What does your diet look like?
BALANCED! This is the most important thing when it comes to the food I consume, I am definitely not a strict eater but I make sure the food I consume is healthy the majority of the time.
In saying that, I, unfortunately, have a rare metabolic disorder called Galactoseaemia which excludes most animal products from my diet as well as legumes (So I defo can't have hummus!) Apart from this I don't have that many dietary restrictions.

What's your favourite dish?
Ohhh good question, I have many haha! I would say my top three favourite foods are Sushi, Grill'd and Acai Bowls (Specifically the ones from D Bowls, they are heaven!)

Anything you'd like to say to the audience?
I'm forever thankful for everyone and your support, it does not go unnoticed!
Thank you Lewis for having me as a guest on your blog, these questions were so much fun :)
